I woke up early in the morning to take this shot of a baloon floating past the magnificent landscape of Goreme in Capadoccia. The village in the distance is Uchisar.
There was a sign saying that this was Love Valley... perhaps an unofficial name. The valley was close to the village of Goreme.
These rocks, with old carvings now exposed to the weather, are in one of the many hidden valleys in the region of Capadoccia.

Turkey is blessed with some of the best remnants of the Ancient Greek and Roman worlds. This lovely fragment of a temple is in the coastal town of Side.

The old part of Antalya, within the ancient walls, is famous for its well restored houses built in the traditional Turkish style.
Hadrian's Gate in Antalya. It was built in AD 130 to commemorate the Emperor Hadrian's visit to the Roman city.
