The Principality of Monaco lies East of Nice, and close to the Italian border. It is a brash and fun place to visit, with just a few older buildings among the new skyscrapers.
Monaco is mostly built on hills which venture up into the mountain range which acts as a dramatic backdrop to the town.
These funky sculptures are in front on the Oceanographic Museum. Jacques-Yves Cousteau was a director of this museum from 1957 to 1988.

Monaco has several ports. This one is in the Western part of the town, just beneath the plateau which houses the Palace of the Grimaldis.
These flowers were growing in the park dedicated to the memory of Princess Grace of Monaco.

The structure near the water's edge is for seating to watch the Monaco Grand Prix, the Formula One motor race held each year since 1929.

I am not sure, but I think the towers belong to the Opera House, while the Dome may be part of the Casino. Advice on this will be greatfully appreciated!
